I love them. I can’t get enough of them. My baby is about to turn one, and I’m not ready. I’ve decided to go ahead with a carnival for a celebration. We’ll see what sort of homemade carnival we can throw together by his birthday. While I’m thinking about my baby and his first year, I’m going to share some pictures of another baby with you. I mentioned back in April that we had some friends visiting from Texas. Well, they brought this adorable little 4 month old with them that they were caring for. He was so cute! The morning they were leaving, we met at Chick-fil-a for breakfast. Afterwards we walked behind the building to some baseball fields and a park to snap some pictures of the baby. The more I snapped, the more I wanted to eat him up! Enjoy.

It’s taking me a little longer to unpack and get the house back in order since I opted to make the kids beach bags instead of clean house before our trip. That, and I have one child with two ear infections and another with on/off fever. They’re really cute bags though.
We really did have a good trip overall; many good memories were made. However, there were several things that had they not happened could have made our trip more of a vacation. More on that later (and I promise not to tell you in a complaining type of way).
So here’s a few pictures from our trip. I took over 800 photos and wish I took more. I almost always wish I would have taken more.
…..and my very favorite picture from the whole trip
I have a little series of pictures of her running and twirling in the sand that I would love to have printed as one large photo.
Last week I had the honor of photographing one of my new friends here in Louisville. She is due on Friday, and, as of Sunday, her newest little guy was still hanging out in her gorgeous pregnant belly. I thought you’d enjoy seeing some of the shots we got. I think they turned out beautifully due to the fact that she is so beautiful. Really y’all she is super photogenic and ALWAYS has the cutest pregnancy outfits- right down to the perfect accessories (namely great necklaces). Her pregnancy wardrobe puts mine to shame, but then again, I don’t really have a pregnancy “wardrobe”.
Anyways, we had lots of fun. Here are a few of the images we got. Enjoy!
Isn’t she gorgeous? Now leave her some comment love telling her just how gorgeous she is because 1) it’s true and 2) every pregnant woman two days away from their due date wants to be told that because they definitely don’t feel it.
Kanon you are such a joy to our family. You continue to smile all the time. Your laugh is contagious. You love to watch your big brother and sister (and think they’re very funny). You just started sucking your left thumb. You are sitting up. You don’t care to eat solid food- mama’s milk will do for you. You are big! You weigh 18 lbs 10 oz and measure in at 30 inches long. You are now too long for your infant car seat. You push up on your hands and knees. You move backwards. You roll. You love to be outside- as soon as we walk outside you start making noises of excitement, especially if the wind hits your face or if it is cold. You have started to cry if you drop a toy or if one is taken away from you. This always catches me off guard and makes me smile because it doesn’t seem to fit your laid back personality so far. You get lots of hugs and kisses from all of us- some a little harder and rougher than others. Karston sings to you whenever you let out the smallest whimper. It almost always calms you down and usually makes you laugh. I think your favorite is 1-2-3-4-5 Once I caught a fish alive!…..You are fun. You are a joy. You bring so much to this family of ours and we love you so very much.
As of today Kanon has spent four weeks in this big big world, and I think he’s done great. Just thought I would share some pictures I’ve captured of his first four weeks. I’ve tried to take his picture here and there for the sake of taking his picture instead of just snapshots. Little (like 5-10 min) photo shoots if you will. We sure think he’s wonderful!
I love taking pictures. Especially of my children. We have thousands from the three year span that we’ve been parents. And I still don’t think we take enough. Ever since Karston was born I have loved doing little “photo shoots.” Nothing fancy just different than the everyday shots we regularly take. As time has past these little photo shoots have become more and more sparse, especially ones with just Kyrie. So a week ago, when we were all a little stir crazy (it rains A LOT here) + nothing was being accomplished at home + it had just stopped raining, I decided it was a great time to put Kyrie in the adorable linen outfit my mom bought her last year +head down the street and check out a house/garden + snap some pictures. It is often a struggle for me to remain calm throughout the photo shoot. I have so many pictures in my head, and they aren’t posed ones either, that it is hard for me when I don’t get it just right. So on this day, I went with no preconceived notions of what pictures I would get (which was good since the attitudes were not very good). However, I did not expect to have camera issues and became very frustrated…so I am planning on going back (it was beautiful) to grab some more shots. Even with the camera issues, I managed to get a good amount of pictures. I only have a few to share right now because my computer is goofing up and I can’t get my pictures to open. But here’s a few!
And you have to have one of Karston!
